… Heaven wants this bunch, this handful of people to light the way through the darkness, to shine in the place of the sun when there will be great darkness on earth. The Lord will triumph through the darkness with this handful of people, to show it to every eye on earth.
I stopped marriage and defilement at Christians. Through this I will distinguish them from the vain world which defiles itself to death. Who does not wash his/her little coat, will not be able to get in to the Lord. In the world neither feasting nor prayer is it used anymore, but only fornication. There shall be bodies which will lie, and the soul will not come out.
… Not even in the monasteries is what heaven asks used any more. Neither the vigil nor the fasting is used any more.
… Every saint protects and takes care of the soul that bears his name. Ask for the saint’s help, but be Christians, not like the world that uses the curse and the evil deed. Every saint weeps for the soul that bears his name if he sees evils in the Christian. Saint Basil has many souls that bear his name, and he has few who honor him after heaven’s will. Many say that they honor Saint Basil, and they gladden satan with what they do on the saint’s day. If you want to do a will of the saint, make a table and call the poor. Today the earth is full of those who bear names of saints, but on the saint’s day they honor satan. A deed pleasing to the saint is to give something to the one who has not, from the little that you have. Give a holy Liturgy, pray to the Lord, for the holy Liturgy saves the souls from perishing.
